Bruichladdich 16 year old Yquem

The Bruichladdich First Growth series is a unique limited edition range that promotes the artisanal craft skills of the distiller, the wine maker and the cooper. It comprises a range of 16 year old Bruichladdich matured originally in American oak bourbon casks, with additional maturation in quality French oak casks used to mature one of the First Growth French Medoc or Premier Cru Supérieur Sauternes. This exclusive series allows the opportunity to contrast and compare the flavour influences these select wines and premium oak casks impart into the whisky, and at the same time pays homage to the Scotch whisky’s heritage as French wine casks were used for maturation long before sherry, port, Madeira and bourbon casks.
