It is said to be 8 years old, it is light & fruity - pear like - with a short restrained finish. This bottling is now out of production replaced by the new 12 year old. |

This new botting replaces the old stand by, it is much more refined than its predecessor with more body and flavour. |

As with the special old reserve it is very light in colour and retains it's fruity youthfulness but at 51% it does carry well. |

By marrying whisky from 15 year old casks of American oak, white oak and sherry casks the malt master has created the best glenfiddich to date. Very light in colour with a light flower and sherry nose carrying the flavours on the palate to a clean lingering finish. |

A blend of oloroso and traditional oak casks give a balanced oakiness and sherry character being both smooth and full bodied. |
