Lagavulin

Located on the southern coast of Islay and established in 1816, this distillery is part of the Diageo group.  These malts have the driest start of any single malt.  Lagavulin was once the number one selling Islay malt buut it has slipped to number 3 due to stock shortages in the early 2000's, they were only producing two days a week in the 1980's, they have since rectified the problem and there appears to be no shortage in the future
